Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of the architectural soul and the rhythmic energy of the urban landscape. Through a fusion of Impressionism and Expressionism, I seek to capture not just the physical structures of a city, but the atmosphere, spirituality, and light that define its character.

I am particularly drawn to the interplay between the sacred and the mundane. In my paintings of historic domes, minarets, and shrines, I use bold, gestural brushstrokes and a heavy impasto technique to create a sense of timelessness. These architectural landmarks emerge from a dense, vibrant tapestry of urban life, symbolizing a point of stillness and light amidst the surrounding complexity.

My process is deeply intuitive. I utilize a diverse palette— ranging from monochromatic explorations of shadow to the luminous, glowing golds of sacred monuments—to evoke specific emotional responses. By deconstructing the cityscape into layers of texture and light, I invite the viewer to look beyond the surface and experience the spiritual and historical resonance of the spaces we inhabit.

For me, every stroke is a dialogue between the past and the present, and every canvas is an attempt to capture the fleeting beauty of a world in constant motion.
