Artist Statement

I am being trained as a Printmaker and as a professional artist I have worked in all techniques of Printmaking but over a span of time I have explored in other mediums and incorporated printmaking along with drawing, mixed media with an amalgamation of installation.

This particular body of work identifies the expression, little details, memories/nostalgia and the impression one leaves. At times the marks are subtle and not obvious but they leave a lasting effect. The struggle is imbedded of the women of yester years that’s why the strong foundation was laid for the women to come. The washes which have died down symbolizes the efforts women has done for their voices to reach masses which have gone unnoticed but not entirely vanished. The particular leaves signifies the courage, hope, new beginnings and also represents a period of growth by women of the globe. It’s a celebration of triumph of womanhood.
