Maham Siddiqui

The main theme of my work is that "The Facts Remain The Same While Time Runs Out".  In my artwork, I have focused on news papers. I believes no matter how old they get they are valuable as they contain information about the past that can be used in the future by all generations.

Maham Siddiqui is a visual artist based in Hyderabad, Pakistan. She completed her BFA in Painting from the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, in 2018, graduating with distinction.

Siddiqui has participated in numerous national and international workshops, competitions, and group exhibitions, steadily establishing her presence in the contemporary art landscape. Her practice revolves around the concept that “the facts remain the same while time runs out.” For her, written text functions as a factual document—its authority intact regardless of validity or accuracy. This idea drives her exploration of newspapers as visual and conceptual material: bundles of stacked, overlapping pages that carry countless stories, truths, and fragments of memory. Through these layered forms, Siddiqui investigates how the mundane can embody vast, hidden meanings.

Her work has been featured in Nigaah Art Magazine, Weekend Fashion, Somewhere in Pakistan, and the Daily Sindh Times Hyderabad. Siddiqui’s artworks are also part of the permanent collection of Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels.
