Ali Krami

Born in 1983, Tando Muhammad Khan, Ali Karimi graduated in Fine Arts (Miniature Painting) with honors from National College of Arts, Lahore in 2014. He explains that art has always been part of his family history; some of his ancestors were Sufi poets.He worked at the Sindhology Museum,Jamshoro (2002 – 2009), making sculptures and some other works for the Museum even before coming to NCA. And actually working in the museum made him realize to pursue proper academic art education. Hence, he left the job and joined NCA. Karimi has been exhibiting his work at various venues nationally and internationally along with projects with Mohatta Palace Museum, Karachi and other site-specific restoration projects. Currently he is working on preservation and Heritage projects in Sindh with Endowment Fund Trust since 2015. Karimi lives and works in Karachi, Pakistan.
