Mr. Akbar finished his education from National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore. He has worked under many famous art personalities such as Jamil Naqsh, Prof. Bashir Mirza and Ustad Khursheed Gohar Qalamkar. Throughout his career till date, he has taken part in 5 solo shows and group shows both nationally and internationally. In 2010 he received the 'Best Young Painter Award' by the Lahore Arts council.
