Artist Statement

Art was never appreciated to be chosen as vocation/ profession 25 years back, Arts was my passion, but it was difficult for me to choose a profession that would be compatible with my passion as an artist.

The professions that I considered were all insecure, and I didn't feel comfortable in any of them, so I decided to get degree in Business Management as well.

My mom  and Dad have been my biggest and most important mentor. They have always been very supportive of my aspirations. They helped me to understand, appreciate, and respect the arts. My father has also been a great role model and encourager. He has always been supportive of my creative aspirations, and has helped me to develop my skills as an artist. Both of my parents have been very supportive of my work as an artist, and have lent their time and talents to help promote art in my city.

My teachers have also been very instrumental in my development as an artist. They have helped me to understand the importance of art, and have taught me the techniques necessary to produce successful artworks. I am very grateful to have had such knowledgeable and enthusiastic educators, who have helped me to grow as an artist.

I feel my responsibility to promote art and artists from Bahawalpur. I am grateful to be part of  this exhibition.
