Biography:

I graduated from Government Girls College in Lahore, Pakistan and started painting in 1979. I have dabbled in interior design, architecture, and fashion design. My work has been called ‘graceful, symbolic and real’. I have traveled extensively internationally (US, UK, Japan, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Middle East) and my travels have given me many memories that are reflected in my paintings.

Artist Statement:

I am a artist. I have painted on diverse themes using canvass, stones, glass and wall murals. My paintings emerged into the art world in 1991. My work has been exhibited in galleries in many cities. I have achieved many awards throughout my career. My signature work is called ‘Roots’.

My interest revolves around painting trees as I connect them to spiritual and social values. Through my artwork I aim to encourage people to remember their roots which means stay connected to their culture, heritage, and spirituality. I consider myself as a versatile artist and I eagerly accept all sorts of challenges from within, to create inspirational work on canvas. I am also open to trying different mediums. I have painted and displayed my work on rocks and glass as well.
