Nadira Athar

Mrs. Nadira Athar is a talented fine artist and sculpturist born on May 1, 1975. She honed her skills through a four-year diploma program at the prestigious Bhitai Institute of Arts & Crafts under the guidance of the renowned artist Afsar Madad Naqvi. She also spent a year refining her craft at North City School Of Arts, where she excelled and secured second position in her second year at the Sindh Board.

Nadira's artistic journey has been marked by numerous group and solo exhibitions at esteemed venues such as the Arts Council, Frere Hall, Sheraton Hotel, Sadequain Art Gallery, and Easel Art Gallery.

Her work has been showcased alongside senior artists in various exhibitions, including "Art Fest" and "Matti Ki Sargoshi." In 2018 and 2019, she held solo exhibitions at the Stars Club and Easel Art Gallery, respectively, featuring her stunning depictions of Karachi's historic buildings.

In recognition of her contributions to the art world, Nadira was awarded the "Pride of Sindh" by the Sindh and Cultural Organization in 2019. Her recent exhibitions include a group show at PNCA in 2024 and a women's artist painting exhibition at Sadequain Art Gallery in May 2024.

Apart from her artistic pursuits, Nadira has also shared her expertise as an art teacher at Happy Home School (Cambridge section) from 1993-1999 and again from 2009-2012. Her dedication to her craft and her passion for inspiring future generations have made her a respected figure in Pakistan's art community.
