ARTIST STATEMENT

My work revolves around the female protagonist who seems to be living ordinary lives in the eyes of the world but the amount of hardships and struggles they have to go through just to have food in their bellies and clothes on their bodies along with feeding their families are unimaginable.

These women that I portray are strong yet caring and living in a South Asian country. We as a community have not made it any easier for women to work freely and independently but such women have made their way among this patriarchal society and are fending for not only themselves but for their families as well. My work supports women of all classes and sects. And all they need is a little appreciation and acknowledgement.
